Artemisia austriaca Jacq.

Flora Europaea perennial, Ch, 2n=16 xeric steppe species very resistant to the ruderalization induced by overgrazing; sometimes acting like a ruderal continental Palearctic (steppe and forest-steppe areas) Festucion valesiacae, Onopordetalia R34 xeric habitats which are not saxicole in Romania, common in the ecological conditions described but extremely rare in Transylvania         A common steppe xeric species in the southern parts of the country.
